About Naples Trip

Naples Trip is an independent travel guide dedicated to Naples and the Campania highlights you can realistically reach from it — Pompeii and Herculaneum, Vesuvius, the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Ischia, Procida, Sorrento, Caserta, Paestum and Campi Flegrei. Our mission is to plan the trip you actually want, honestly: which Pompeii tickets are genuinely worth booking in advance, when the Amalfi Coast alternating-plates rule applies, how the Circumvesuviana compares to the Campania Express, and which "day trip from Naples" is a comfortable excursion and which one quietly means an early start and a long return.

Our approach

Every guide, itinerary and recommendation on this site is built on first-hand research. We name real neighbourhoods (Spaccanapoli, Chiaia, Vomero, Rione Sanità, Posillipo), real food (pizza napoletana, sfogliatella, fried food at the friggitoria), real experiences (the Cristo Velato at Cappella Sansevero, a boat to the Blue Grotto at Capri, hiking the Path of the Gods above the Amalfi Coast), and we quote real prices in euros. We give honest assessments of tourist traps — the overpriced lemon-cello stands on the Amalfi Coast, the unofficial Pompeii "guides" at the entrance, the taxi drivers who ignore the meter. If something is genuinely not worth it, we say so.
